Fellowship,
Confession, Consecration, and Prayer
During one of the
meetings at the conference, Brother Ricky wrote four letters on the board:
F.C.C.P. These letters stand for Fellowship, Confession, Consecration, and
Prayer. These things are vital tools of fulfilling God’s economy. We must allow
these items to become our genuine experiences as well as life to us.
There are two types of fellowship. One type is between the Lord and us and the
other is with all the saints. We first need to be able to have a genuine and
enjoyable fellowship with the Lord. This will lead us to a sweet fellowship
with the saints.
The next item is confession. In order to have a proper fellowship with the Lord
we need to have a clean conscience. The only way to have a clean conscience is
to confess our sins because sin blocks our fellowship with the Lord. We need to
constantly come to the Lord and take His cleansing blood. This clears all
hindrances and allows us to enjoy the Lord’s presence.
Consecration is to give our selves to the Lord anew. Whenever we consecrate
ourselves to Him, it is like having a new and fresh start with Him. When we
consecrate ourselves to Him, we are set apart from the world and reserved for
God. In order to consecrate ourselves to Him we must drop everything and let
Him fill us.
Prayer is a means for us to directly contact God. We often have the false
concept that prayer is simply for us to tell God what we want and He will give
it to us. Actually, our prayer needs to be according to the Lord’s leading so
that through our prayer He can accomplish His will as well as bless us.
We need all four points in our daily lives in order to fulfill God’s economy
and to be in constant contact with God. When we apply these four points to our
lives in a genuine way, the Lord fills us and is able to use us for His purpose.
