Consecration, Hindrance, and Prayer

Time and time again, we consecrate ourselves to the Lord, but sin and the world takes us away from our consecration. Like an abyss of the world and temptation, ever present and drawing us near, many of us reside on the brink of the chasm; we are on the verge of falling in at any given time. Of the 35 brothers and sisters that started out with Uncle Ricky, only eight remain in the church life today. When we heard this, we all thought to ourselves, we’ll be one of those eight. But when you thoroughly contemplate this, you must ask, will you really be there? In due course, parents will no longer be there to coerce us. Will you be at the church every Sunday at ten in the morning? Will you have time to read the Bible every day, or even once a week? Oh Lord Jesus! Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil! Christ is the head, and the Body is the Church. Together we are a corporate man, a family, and the Church life protects us from the world. Hallelujah for the Church life!
